Köln 75 is an unconventional, high-energy biographical drama that focuses on the true story of the chaotic backstage scramble behind Keith Jarrett’s legendary 1975 concern. The film follows the true story of Vera Brandes, a teenage patron of the 1970s Cologne music scene, as she makes plans to organize a Keith Jarrett concert in Cologne, which eventually became his album The KÖLN Concert. Mala Emde and John Magaro star as Brandes and Jarrett, respectively.

Jazz purists may sniff at a film about a Jarrett concert that failed to get the rights to the music, but it’s hard not to fall for Vera and the sunny depiction of countercultural idealism..   Wendy Ide – Observer (UK)

As a punchy portrait of a young woman railing against a dreary future, Köln 75 is diverting and entertaining.. Ben Nicholson – As a punchy portrait of a young woman railing against a dreary future, Köln 75 is diverting and entertaining.. Ben Nicholson – Little White Lies
