Guillaume Canet’s contemporary thriller is “Vertigo” meets “The Fugitive” by way of “The Big Sleep.” This French adaptation kind of conspiracy-minded murder mystery has Alex Beck (François Cluzet), a kindhearted pediatrician in Paris, receiving emails 8 years after the murder of his wife Margot (Marie-Josée Croze) alluding that she may in fact still be alive. With police on his tail as a suspect to yet another string of murders, Alex begins a desperate search for Margot. Like the 1959 classic “North by Northwest”, “Tell No One” is about an innocent man on the run with nowhere to turn.
