Reviews:

Alice Tynan, Concrete Playground: "J. Blakeson's feature debut is as spectacularly suspenseful as it is deceptively simple."

Rob Thomas, Wisconsin State Journal: "Much of the fun of watching this kidnapping thriller is trying to guess what will happen next and being constantly proved wrong."

Matthew Toomey, ABC Radio Brisbane: "If you like a good twist, then this is the next film you must see. Your eyes will be glued to the screen, wondering what unexpected plot developments lay ahead."

Kidnapppers Danny (Martin Compston) and Vic (Eddie Marsan) hold Alice Creed (Gemma Arterton, from the recently screened Tamara Drewe) hostage as a passport to a better life. It soon becomes clear that Alice isn't about to let her captors use her without a fight. As determined to escape as Vic and Danny are to succeed, Alice enters into a battle of wills which strains the already fractious relationship between the two men. As the deadline for the exchange draws near, all three are brought close to the breaking point, with Vic and Danny's foolproof plan descending into a desperate struggle for survival. A film of great twists and turns.
